Once when you:
- 1. Know what product or service to sell
- 2. Have a relevant domain name
- 3. Have chosen the desired web hosting service
- 4. Have designed a blog-driven website
- 5. Have set your goals and repeat them to yourself regularly
You are ready to start your business online! Or maybe you already have an offline business you are ready to bring it online! Here's a list of tips that will help you along the way:
- 1. Have patience. There's no instant or quick money, nor instant or quick customers (audience). Don't expect your website to have 1000 visitors a day on the first day of launch.
- 2. Have quality content on your website. Don't just promote your product or service. Offer something for free on your blog. Your insights related to your product or service that are valuable to visitors.
- 3. Update website frequently. Search engines like Google like regularly updated websites and they will reward that by giving a higher page rank (believing your website is important) which will result in your page placing higher in the search results.
- 4. Submit articles to article directories. Article marketing is very effective as it increases the back links to your business website dramatically.
- 5. Commenting on popular blogs and forums. Let your voice spread out to the communities related to your product or service. Increasing your credibility and back links to your business website resulting in your page placing higher in search results, bringing you more traffic exponentially.
- 6. Giving something valuable, FREE. People like freebies and they will likely pass along to their friends and families. Word-of-Mouth marketing is one of the most effective marketing techniques, online or offline.
- 7. Consider Email marketing. Even though a lot of us have junk mail filter and often filters out valuable emails and places them in junk folders, many still check what's in the junk box often so they don't lose valuable emails. (Kind of defeats the purpose of junk mail box, weird trend)
- 8. Join Social Network. Join up social networks such as Facebook, YouTube. Post videos on YouTube or add videos to your website for multimedia content.
- 9. Search Engine Marketing. Consider using PPC services such as Google Adwords to advertise your product or service across the globe.
