RankPay.com, a domain only registered on late 2006, without a keyword-targeted domain name, is able to rank #1 for "SEO Service" and "SEO Services" - fairly competitive and profitable keywords. Therefore, they sure know a thing or 2 about SEO and how to rank on major search engines.

So we signed up for an account and submitted over 15 keywords on 5 different domains to test the service. The service process flow is very user friendly - can't get any easier in our opinion.

After about 2 months, 4 out of 15 keywords achieved top 10 rankings from 80+ on Yahoo/Bing. 7 dropped rankings by 1 or 2 position on Google. 1 moved up to #1 on Google.

As a result, we don't pay for the keywords that dropped in rankings. But we do have to pay for keywords that achieved better rankings. We ended up paying for over $400 USD a month for all keywords that increased in rankings.

We don't really pay much attention to Yahoo and Bing since Google has way more market share in search in North America. Therefore, the keywords with increased rankings on Yahoo and Bing didn't bring in any excitement at all.

However, the 1 keyword that increased its ranking from #4 to #1 on Google increased the overall revenue on the website from $400/day to $900/day. That is $500/day in revenue as a result of the increased SERP.

Final Thoughts From Experience

1 - You website needs to have Good On-Page SEO

We have been in the Search and Internet Marketing industries for quite a while so we know how to perform On-Page SEO for websites. The domains and websites we used to test the service all had good On-Page SEO - all they needed was link building (Off-Page SEO).

A website's ranking potential is highly connected to both On-Page and Off-Page SEO. Even though industry experts say On-Page SEO (URL structure, linking structure, content) is 10% of the work and Off-Page SEO (Link building) is 90% of the work, you can't rank for competitive keywords if you don't have good On-Page SEO AND Off-Page SEO.

2 - Domain Name, TLD, Domain Age, and Domain Page Rank are all major factors on your ranking potential and service costs

From the price quotes above, we can see that there is a lot of difference in service costs for the same keyword but different domains. In short, the better domain names you have, the easier it is for RankPay to increase your rankings. We are not going to talk about how to evaluate a domain name for its SEO potential in this review.

3 - Don't put your eggs in one basket. Try it with multiple keywords and domains.

If we didn't include the keyword that achieved #1 ranking on Google from #4, the whole investment would have been a negative investment for us. But because we submitted multiple keywords for multiple domains in different niches, the overall investment, solely due to the SERP increase on 1 keyword out of 15, turned to be a positive investment.

Based on your budget, go for the keywords with the most "EXACT" search volume. You can use Google's Free Keyword Tool to do your keyword research if you don't already have a keyword research solution.

4 - Your website needs to be optimized for sales

To justify the cost of SEO services, you need to be able to make more than the service cost from your increased traffic (visitors = potential prospects/clients) from increased rankings. So if your website does not have a working business model to convert visitors into clients/customers, there is no point for you to get more traffic, as they would be wasted.

RankPay.com is an excellent and effective SEO service provider. However, before you invest in it, even though it is risk free, you need to have a good understanding of what SEO is, or work with someone who does. It's the same as if you are buying a physical product in a local technology store - you need to know what you are buying.

Our Current Strategy with RankPay

Because we do both On-Page and Off-Page Search Engine Optimization for our web properties, we know how to rank for high competitive keywords.

What we do now is we work on SEO for our web properties ourselves until we reach top 10 rankings for our keywords. Then we submit the keywords and domains to RankPay and have them start working from there.

Why do we do this? Because we can easily rank keywords to top 10 rankings on competitive keywords with our in-house SEO solution (very effective). So the service cost to rank from 30+ to 20, and from 20 to 10 is something we can avoid. Sometimes we submit keywords that are already rank top 3 on search engines and have RankPay to "maintain" the rankings for us.

The reality is that in order for RankPay to have a profitable business model, they have to have their in-house SEO strategies powerful enough to increase your rankings at a lower cost than the price quotes they provide to you. We are confident to rank keywords to top 10 ourselves at a lower cost than the price quotes they provide to us, which is why we only use RankPay for keywords that are already within top 10 rankings on Google.

RankPay is not going to share their SEO secrets. We are not going to share ours either. So it depends on your SEO knowledge to choose what keywords to submit to RankPay. If you can rank keywords to top 20 and are having a hard time to rank them further up to top 10, then try RankPay on those keywords.
