The word "why" itself is the most important one-word sentence. Why? because it
- stimulates thought
- creates a need to find answers
- helps resolve problems
Asking why is the major source that leads us to learn and advance. We grow in knowledge and experience with the solutions that we find from asking why. Kids often ask why quite frequently and that's exactly why they have the opportunities to learn with all the informationmade availableto them, simply from asking that one question.
By asking why you create opportunities for information to come to you, either from people answering your questions or doing research yourself. The fact is, research says that one must ask "why" five times to get to the root of a situation or problem.
Observe, Ask, and Seek for Answers
Business owners need to learn constantly in order to survive and grow in therapid changing world. And the best way to learn is by observing, asking questions, and seeking for answers.
- Observe other business(s) on what they do - the way they run their business, the way they market their products...etc.
- Ask yourself questions on why do they run their business(s) this way, why are they marketing their products using this strategy, why...etc.
- Seek for answers by consulting your business coach and your friends, or by researching for answers in the library or online.
By repeating the steps above you will be able to learn and adapt to strategies that other business(s) implement in their practice. The more you learn the better situation you create between your competitors. That, is the power of asking "why"
