The Power of Subconscious Mind II

I've had some quality feedbacks from the last post - The Power of Subconscious Mind. The most interesting feedback that I received was "Is using positive affirmations the same as brainwashing your mind?"

Yes, by repeating positive affirmations to yourself you are effectively brainwashing your mind. I am currently traveling in Taiwan and I just read an interesting news that says for the people in Taiwan, over 90% of their thoughts are negative. Some say this is the aftereffect of the global recession. Yes, the global recession is probably the primary cause, but having people with over 90% negative thoughts in their minds does not help the economy at all.

In the previous post I've talked about positive affirmations techniques such as repeating positive affirmations to yourself verbally, writing positive affirmations down and placing them on visible spots, and listening to pre-recorded positive affirmations. Those are the techniques that I personally use and I find them very useful. A couple of people have recommended repeating positive affirmations to yourself while looking into the mirror. This is because by looking at yourself in the eye as you state your affirmation you will magnify the importance of the message to yourself.

There are also audio CDs that introduces subliminal affirmations. They are designed to by-pass your conscious mind and "speak" to your subconscious mind directly, with music. This technique can be very powerful as you can play the CDs as background music at your office or resident. However, be very careful with this technique as it often comes unsupported as people have no idea what's "encoded" in the music themselves.

While traveling in Taiwan it's truly sad to see the negative growth of its economy in the last decade. Positive affirmation plays an important role in one's ability to success. As more and more people become successful the economy improves itself. Therefore, positive affirmation is especially important in the times of a recession.
