Your Goals, Your Way to Success


As we are coming to the end of the year, it is time to set new goals for the coming New Year. Why is it important to set goals? Goals play an important role in relation to our subconscious mind. they set expectations, hopes, and dreams. As mentioned in our Online Business Blueprint, it is important to continuously repeat to ourselves (our subconscious mind) of our goals. When your subconscious mind believes in your goals, it acts as the driving force / motivation for your conscious mind to do whatever it takes to achieve your goals.

Set Your Goals in Great Details

You must be able to image and conceptualize your goals in details. Goals should be carefully thought-through in details on how you can achieve them step-by-step. This will make your goals measurable, believable, controllable, and achievable. You have to set your goals for the possible. What is the point for setting a goal that cannot be accomplished?

Short-Term Goals lead to Long-Term Goals - Systematic Approach

There are goals that cannot be achieved in the short term. Imagine this as a ladder from the first floor to the second floor. You cannot climb to the second floor without taking the steps one by one on the ladder. Your long-term goals are sitting on the second floor and your short-term goals are lying on the ladder steps. Setting goals is like building an achievable system to follow.

Taking the Balance between Personal and Work into Consideration

Balance is essential. For example, if your goals require you to be apart from your family for a couple of months, make sure you properly discuss them with your family. The fact is, the travel and long hours could lead to poor health or family discord. Things like the above should be carefully considered and thought-through.

Reward Yourself

Often, rewarding yourself at the end can often be of an excellent motivation while you are on your way to achieve your goals. Plan rewards such as a vacation, a time off, a nice dinner...etc, when you have achieved your goals. By doing this, you can focus on something positive rather than the fear of failures. This is a way to trick your mind to think optimistically and drive up motivation.
